I love this time of the year!! Everything is green and there are lots of colors. Only drawback is that my allergries kick in but I generally survive thanks to allergy medicines. This year my father-in-law has gone all out for the spring garden and it looks awesome! I also wanted to play w/ my new camera and test out the features that it has with the plants that are growing in the garden. I've posted a slideshow below of the garden for your viewing pleasure. :)

Drum Roll Please . . . . . .
As some of you may know Matt finally has a REAL job!!! Yes, you heard right. Finally after months of looking and being let down, by what might have been great jobs, Matt received an offer to work at Freeman. Here's the catch though we have to move. The job is in Mohave Valley. For those of you that don't know where that is go look it up on the map hahaha, just kidding. It is in Northewestern Arizona, near the California, Nevada, Arizona borders. How about this about 40 miles north of Lake Havasu City. Matt started his first week there and he really likes it. He feels that he has a lot to contribute to the company to help them grow and become effecient.
Scott and I will not be moving until school is out. So that means May 27th is my last day working for Wells Fargo!! WHOO HOO!!! I have waited 6 years to quit my job and stay at home. There has been a divine plan that has kept me working, one when Matt lost his job a year ago I still had mine and the insurance benefits. Now Matt's new job has the same benefits and I get to stay home and take care our family. Can you tell that I'm really excited about this?! Well I am.
As for moving I know most of you will be sad to see us leave the area but we are excited and I hope that you are excited for us as well. We hope that we will have visitors. Our plan is to probably live in Lake Havasu City, so that means those of you with a boat or knows or someone with a boat will come and play with us. :)

Spring Break: Colorado Trip
This year I was very lucky in getting the time off for Spring Break. With the help of my sister Scott and I were able to go visit her and her family in Colorado for Spring Break. We left early Friday morning, the 12th from 40 degree morning weather in AZ to 50 degree all day weather in Colorado. My sister lives in Parker which is nestled between the Colorado Rockies and the Plains. It was really neat to see the mountains so close covered in snow.
Honestly we just pretty much bummed around. Sunday and Monday Scott was sick and then Monday night I got sick but was feeling better by Wednesday.
I helped my sister organize 2 of her closets. We had a 20% off coupon to the Container Store, which is a really cool store! Below are the before pictures. To see the afters click on the the word 'after' below each picture which will take you to my sister's blog. On Sunday I was tasked to measure the closets. Since Scott was sick we didn't go to church so to keep myself busy, which was about 30 mins, I had measured the closets and had written down the info. The closets looked pretty good once we were done.
Sunday it was snowing and by Monday morning the grass and trees were sprinkled with that white stuff. Then for the next 3 days it was clear and sunny in the 60's, but by Friday it was cold and snowing all day long. We tried to make it up to Denver to the museums but got stuck on the freeway because of mulitple accidents, so we decided to get off and found a local Library to cozy up in for a little bit before heading back to my sisters.
While I was there I was able to reconnect with an old friend from junior high. She came over monday for a little while to chat before her midterm. Then on Tuesday she and I went shopping and out to lunch. It was like we had never been apart for the last 11 years, give or take. Then wed my sister and I went to get a free makeover at the new Utla store that just opened up, where my friend works. It was fun to have some girl time and try new products. Sarah I'm sold, I'm totally buying the Bare Minerals makeup!!
Sorry that this isn't more exciting but like I mentioned earlier we pretty much bummed around and I was sick on top of that. I did take pictures and will post them soon.

Job for Matt
As promised I am posting about Matt's new job. Yes that's right! He was able to get a job somewhere, and that somewhere is Oregano's. It's only temorary until he can find something a little bit more permanent. His sister works there and was able to help out and get him the job. He has been on his own serving tables since last week and doing pretty good. Some nights are better than others as far as tips go but that's to be expected. One draw back is that he has to work Sunday nights. :( He wasn't to thrilled about the idea but I told him not to quit, but to ride it out and see if he could trade w/ someone once he gets the hang of it. It's nice to be able to have a little extra money coming in and he is grateful to be working. He only has to work 4 days which is nice. So YEA for work!!! He is also still looking for something else that would be more of a career than just a job.

Reading!
Today at work my supervisor brought in books that her kids had out grown so that we could rumage through them before she shipped them off to Goodwill. I picked out 3 books for Scott and one of them is this book.

This is one of my favorite Dr Seuss books. I put them on Scott's bed. I had told him that I brought home something for him and that it was up in room. A few mins later Scott is running down the stairs saying "You got this for me mommy?" He came to me and started to read it to me. I'm very impressed with the fact that he reading the entire book to me! What a smart little boy! These last few weeks at school his teacher has sent him home with 10 sight words to memorize and to pass off and this book has a lot of sight words and he is very excited that he knows them!

Valentines
Wow, it's been a while since I last posted.
I thought that since it's Valentine's day I would post something.
Last night Matt and I enjoyed the company of our friends Megan and Jeremy and Scott got to play with Adie. He has been bugging me about playing w/ her. So they finally got to play. We ate some pizza and played several rounds of Taboo while being a referee when the kids got out of hand. It was a lot of fun. (sorry no pictures)
This morning I found an envelope on the dresser with my name on it. I honestly was not expecting anything from Matt, being poor and all. But to my surprise I found a gift card to a nail salon! Whoo Hoo!! I haven't had a pedicure, I mean a professional one, in months! I in return gave him a big Reese's Peanut Butter Heart, reese's are his favs. He was very happy and eat the whole thing right after church. He gave me a bite before he finished it off.
That's all I got for now. I will try to be better a posting, I'm starting to slack off. I will post back soon with news about Matt and his job situation. :)
