Okay this is the final chapter of our Boston Trip. Day 3 was not packed, but more restful.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US!!
This is our actual anniversary day, 8/2/15.
We attended church with Joe and Katie. After 12 years of being in a family ward, it was different to be in a singles ward. Very quite.
Just before we got to church Matt and I drove by Walden Pond. I was surprised by how big it actually was.

12 Year Anniversary: Boston Trip Part 2
Okay onto day 2! This is now Saturday, 8/1/15.
This was also an adventure packed day. We first started out with a yummy breakfast. Joe had recommended this diner called Bickford in a neighboring town.
I went simple with an omelet, but no Matt had to get an item that took 20 mins to cook. He picked what's called The Big Apple. Basically, what it is a baked pancake with apples, cinnamon and sugar. As you can see that is all he could eat. He did have potatoes brought out before this. We took it back with us to have for breakfast the next day.

12 Year Anniversary: Boston Trip Part 1
This year Matt and I celebrate 12 years of being married! I can't believe it! 12 YEARS!! This year we were able to afford a trip by ourselves! This was also the first time we have made a trip without kids. Yea us!
Well anyways, Matt was already in Connecticut for training for his new job. He had been out there the week prior, and his training ended a few days before our anniversary. So I thought that it would be fun to meet him out there so that I can experience Boston.
*sidenote: Matt has been to Boston a few times already. Also if you follow my on Instagram you probably have seen these pictures but now I'm dishing the details of the trip*
I made all the arrangements for the kids to be watched by their grandparents. They had fun while we were gone too. ;)
I took a redeye non-stop flight on Thursday, 8/29/15, and arrived in Boston early Friday morning. I tried to sleep on the plane, but the flight attendant didn't hear me ask for a blanket only a pillow. I had a window seat and 2 ladies next to me were knocked out and I didn't want to walk them up by binging for the flight attendant. So I tried to sleep I would wake up cold. errr. I have to be warm to fall asleep.

Memorial Day Weekend Vacation
Ah summertime is finally here and school is out, that means Memorial weekend and Scott's birthday. This year we asked Scott what he wanted to do for his birthday. We gave him the option of going to Sea World and visting his cousins in San Diego or take a couple of friends to Sunsplash. He chose the first option.
We left Friday morning. Summer did very well, I was worried that she would get bored and fussy but she slept most of the way. Thank goodness for the improvement of baby food packaging! I love the food pouches, because I could screw on a spoon designed for them and feed her on the road! We hit traffic on our way into Carlsbad but made in just in time to check into our hotel. Matt's sister met up with us at our hotel, she lives up the road from the hotel we stayed at. I do recommend the Carlsbad by The Sea Resort, if you are planning a vaca to Carlsbad. So the kids swam for a little bit and then we headed to dinner.

Spring Break: Colorado Trip
This year I was very lucky in getting the time off for Spring Break. With the help of my sister Scott and I were able to go visit her and her family in Colorado for Spring Break. We left early Friday morning, the 12th from 40 degree morning weather in AZ to 50 degree all day weather in Colorado. My sister lives in Parker which is nestled between the Colorado Rockies and the Plains. It was really neat to see the mountains so close covered in snow.
Honestly we just pretty much bummed around. Sunday and Monday Scott was sick and then Monday night I got sick but was feeling better by Wednesday.
I helped my sister organize 2 of her closets. We had a 20% off coupon to the Container Store, which is a really cool store! Below are the before pictures. To see the afters click on the the word 'after' below each picture which will take you to my sister's blog. On Sunday I was tasked to measure the closets. Since Scott was sick we didn't go to church so to keep myself busy, which was about 30 mins, I had measured the closets and had written down the info. The closets looked pretty good once we were done.
Sunday it was snowing and by Monday morning the grass and trees were sprinkled with that white stuff. Then for the next 3 days it was clear and sunny in the 60's, but by Friday it was cold and snowing all day long. We tried to make it up to Denver to the museums but got stuck on the freeway because of mulitple accidents, so we decided to get off and found a local Library to cozy up in for a little bit before heading back to my sisters.
While I was there I was able to reconnect with an old friend from junior high. She came over monday for a little while to chat before her midterm. Then on Tuesday she and I went shopping and out to lunch. It was like we had never been apart for the last 11 years, give or take. Then wed my sister and I went to get a free makeover at the new Utla store that just opened up, where my friend works. It was fun to have some girl time and try new products. Sarah I'm sold, I'm totally buying the Bare Minerals makeup!!
Sorry that this isn't more exciting but like I mentioned earlier we pretty much bummed around and I was sick on top of that. I did take pictures and will post them soon.

Flashback: Honeymoon
This was taken about 6 years ago. We were on our honeymoon in Hawaii. Checkout the size that tree!! The cool thing about this particular tree is that the brown things that hang down from the branches grow to the ground and become part of the trunk.

Tortilla Flat
Last Saturday my friend Rhonda and I took the kids for a short day trip. We headed out to Tortilla Flat. All I have to say about it is if you blink you will miss it, b/c it is a small strip of a couple buildings on the side of the road. (click on the name to see more info) It is a few miles out side of town. It was fun, they have a great little restuarant that makes some pretty tasty burgers. The inside of the restaurant it pretty much covered in dollar bills signed by people who have stopped in. We did sign a dollar bill but I forgot to take a picture. Along the way we stopped at a view point of Canyon Lake. It was a beautiful sight.

On our way back we stopped at another little sight seeing place called Goldfield Ghost Town. (click on the name for more info) This place was bigger with a couple restaurants, a merchant store, a museum and a train station. It was a lot more fun to look around. There was even an antique photography studio, that Rhonda and I would love to come back to take pictures at. It was a fun way to spend the morning and the kids loved it.

Disneyland
This year for Scott's birthday we hit up Disneyland! It was so much Fun! Scott loved every ride he went on. He could do every ride except Indian Jones. He was not tall enough for it. By the end of the day he was so tired that he missed the Electrical Parade. Matt and I enjoyed ourselves as well!

Footy
The weekend of April 11-13 Matt had the opportunity to go to Ft Lauderdale to participate in a footy tournament. Footy is Australian rules football, no not Rugby, it is not as aggressive, but they do use a rugby ball. I won't go into too much detail but if you want to know more go to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australian_rules_football.
