Retraction

This is a retraction post to the one about Matt's new real job (click here to read).

After much talk, prayer and attending the temple, we have come to a decision that I will not quit my job and we will not be moving to the Lake Havasu area, for now. I will continue to work at Wells Fargo, :( so that we can save up enough money to be better prepared for a move if that is what we need to do. This decision feels right and we are grateful for the promptings of the Spirit and the ability to counsel with the Lord on such an important matter in our lives.

The thought of working does sadden me but it's not the right time for me to quit. Matt will continue to commute each week and we do miss him when he is gone, but we are very thankful for modern technology that allows to communicate via webcam and Skype.

What thought interesting as I was visiting teaching this month that the message was about Seeking and Receiving Personal Revelation. I want to share with you a couple quotes that I loved that pertained to what we needed to do, which we did.

“Prayer is your personal key to heaven. The lock is on your side of the veil. But that is not all. To one who thought that revelation would flow without effort, the Lord said: ‘You have not understood; you have supposed that I would give it unto you, when you took no thought save it was to ask me. But, behold, I say unto you, that you must study it out in your mind; then you must ask me if it be right, and if it is right I will cause that your bosom shall burn within you; therefore, you shall feel that it is right.’”

President Boyd K. Packer, President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles

“The temple is a house of learning. Much of the instruction imparted in the temple is symbolic and learned by the Spirit. This means we are taught from on high. … Our understanding of the meaning of the ordinances and covenants will increase as we return to the temple often with the attitude of learning and contemplating the eternal truths taught. … Let us enjoy the spiritual strength and the revelation we receive as we attend the temple regularly.”

SPRING!!!!

I love this time of the year!! Everything is green and there are lots of colors. Only drawback is that my allergries kick in but I generally survive thanks to allergy medicines. This year my father-in-law has gone all out for the spring garden and it looks awesome! I also wanted to play w/ my new camera and test out the features that it has with the plants that are growing in the garden. I've posted a slideshow below of the garden for your viewing pleasure. :)

Drum Roll Please . . . . . .

As some of you may know Matt finally has a REAL job!!! Yes, you heard right. Finally after months of looking and being let down, by what might have been great jobs, Matt received an offer to work at Freeman. Here's the catch though we have to move. The job is in Mohave Valley. For those of you that don't know where that is go look it up on the map hahaha, just kidding. It is in Northewestern Arizona, near the California, Nevada, Arizona borders. How about this about 40 miles north of Lake Havasu City. Matt started his first week there and he really likes it. He feels that he has a lot to contribute to the company to help them grow and become effecient.

Scott and I will not be moving until school is out. So that means May 27th is my last day working for Wells Fargo!! WHOO HOO!!! I have waited 6 years to quit my job and stay at home. There has been a divine plan that has kept me working, one when Matt lost his job a year ago I still had mine and the insurance benefits. Now Matt's new job has the same benefits and I get to stay home and take care our family. Can you tell that I'm really excited about this?! Well I am.

As for moving I know most of you will be sad to see us leave the area but we are excited and I hope that you are excited for us as well. We hope that we will have visitors. Our plan is to probably live in Lake Havasu City, so that means those of you with a boat or knows or someone with a boat will come and play with us. :)
I encourage anyone who reads this blog to please post a comment. I like to hear what people think.
